So it was my birthday today! It was a pretty ok day, all in all. Nothing particularly special, but it was still enjoyable (since nothing especially bad happened), so I'm happy (:

So, how was your day?

Although I'm sure Tom and most of you will disagree with me, I have found the best feeling in the world. And it's not sex, masturbating, or anything relating to orgasms.

It was definitely finding out that my flash, Jump ! was on the Front page.

After submitting the game, and getting a third best award for the day, I was pretty pumped. But, after checking almost every hour of the following days, and never getting front paged, I'll admit I was a little dissapointed (sp not on FF?). Sure, the game was on 60+ other sites, racking up views (and $$ thanks to NG ads :p) but the fact that it wasn't really viewed much on NG was kind of sad for me. So I pretty much gave up hope of it going on the frontpage after the first week, and turned to focus on another game.

But then coming back, two weeks later, and finding it on the Front page.. well... that was just amazing. I mean, I thought the game was basically forgotten, beneath the other submissions.. and I'm still surprised it got on the Front page!

Either way it was definitely one of the best feelings ever.. It's like the day you finally are recognized in the place that matters most to you, after years of seeing other flashes and hoping that yours would make it there.. it really is great.

So super awesome special orgasmic thanks to whoever posted it on the Front page. I mean, to go through a couple of weeks of submissions and put the ones you want on the front page is definitely something I would have blown off. (I'm guessing FP wasn't updated because Tom was in Japan).

So that's the best feeling in the world. Getting your Flash recognized after you think that it's been long forgotten. :))

SO ANYWAYS
One game coming from me and TheMillz coming to you this Halloween, so stay sharp (hint hint).

And one day, you will also see a Source Mod, by yours truly, come to you. If you have Half Life 2. It's really just a simple campaign, puzzle themed game. Absolutely no planning has gone into it, I just kind of make the levels as I go. It's really fun, whether the game is fun or not :)

So have a screenshot of the starting place (kind of). It's about the 5th version. I've gone through 5 other designs, scrapped them all, and I think this will be the final one. Still a WIP though.

I'm also addicted to the song "Welcome To The Black Parade", by My Chemical Romance. Don't ask. You know, I always thought they were an emo band.. the name sure sounds like it would be.. kind of?

Whatever.

A thing to note about my HL2 mod. I have coded absolutely nothing. You can make a full Half Life 2 campaign, from start to finish, without coding anything. Of course, you'll be limited to what the original HL2 has, which is still a hell of a lot of freedom, but whatever :)

Also I'm still working on a flash game.. it's basically done, need to finish it up with some more testing, bug fixing, and some more attacks for the enemy (which is basically it). Then it will be done >:D

.. No new news. Yup. Nothing at all. Working on a Flash. Who isn't these days? O.o Life sucks horribly (as usual :p) I wish I had more cookies. Yup. In the end, nothing new at all.

So to eat up some of your time I may as well show you a screenshot of one of the games I'm working on. (Yes, just one of them). This game will be called 'Dungeon Dot'. Your a dot, who just happens to have a gun. So you enter a dungeon for unknown reasons to fight off boxes, turrets, and bosses. Then you collect keys, health, travel through teleporters, solve puzzles. The works.

The game itself, is kinda done already. At least the engine. At this point it really comes down to making the game. By that I mean the levels. I'm hoping for 25-40 levels. Hoping. I have quite a few level designs so far though. And a boss or two (although just designs, not coded yet). Oh. One more thing about this game: Lasers.

So it's super late. It's 1:33 AM. That and it's been a hell of a long of a time (<.<) since I've made an update.

Ok, so the game collaboration did turn out well. It was for a Halloween game contest (not sure if I said that earlier). You can see the finished product here: Halloween Game Collab 07.

Special thanks goes to Coolio-Niato for starting the game collab.. and letting me in :) Also, my game is the last one on there. And we were a winner for the contest. I got $150 so it's all good :p

On to other stuff.. I've been kinda in a slump lately.. can't seem to force myself to get on with the game that I'm supposed to be working on. Yep. Working on the coding for a game (NextToNothing is doing the art) but I just can't seem to actually finish the darn engine.. Ugh I want my music back..

Ok so the music is back.. anyways the game is.. top secret :3 You'll know when it's done.. trust me it'll be fun :D One thing: You has a jetpack! Hurray! You can fly! As long as you don't run out of fuel <.<

So some other stuff. I still need to work on my own projects.. I have so many ideas and yet none at all (?!) I blame the inspirational slump of mine >:( Right now I think the best thing to do would be to code a small game.. But how small? Who knows.. if small at all.. or just not code at all and get my mind off things in general..

I guess you could say personal life (a life? me? hah.. what an idea) is... boring as usual. Nothing happens around here.. nothing at ALL. BLEJ IT'S SO BORING Dx I wish something would happen.. the only thing to do around here is.. spend my time on the computer.. which is what I do all day long.

But if I spend all my time on the computer how come I don't do any work? The slump >:( That and Empires is a VERY fun game. VERY fun indeed. If you have Half Life 2 get the mod. FUN AS HELL. If you don't have Half Life 2, you either need to stop with Halo, and get it.. or I don't know what's wrong with you ;3

I really feel like I should post something else.. I guess I just don't have anything else to post.. BUT I do have one thing. Ehm.. Uhrm... Hurmsk... Nope. Nothing at all to show :( Sorry guyz and gallz. Oh well.

And expect something soon.. I don't know what since I don't have an idea yet, but I really want to make some type of infiltration game.. where you infiltrate and sabotage a base (for no apparent reason.. for the lulz?)

So nothing really going on now. Yup. Not much at all. At least nothing interesting.

Flash News:

Working on a new game now. No title set for the game yet. I'm working on this game with NextToNothing. He's doing all art, while I'm coding. Fun game to code, it is. No idea when it'll be out. I won't give out any info on this game though. Except you're a robot with a jetpack :3

I'm working on a solo project too. Game might be called 'Shape Shifter'. But it'll probably change, since you're not really a shape shifter.The game is about.. well no real story line yet. As far as gameplay goes, it's platformer with fighting (No guns, all melee). In this game you'll start off with a little shape (circle, square, triangle, or pentagon) and add arms, and legs. You unlock more arms and legs as the game goes on and soon enough you'll have a nice little fighting machine. No screenshots for you though :3 And god knows when this will be released. It'll be a while. I want to make it good :)

And as for the last bit of news (flash related), I have started the sequel to Mario Television. Again, god knows when this will be done. It'll also be my last sprite movie/game. I think that sprites are great and all, but I would rather stay away from them :P

Other News (Means Videogames :D)

I picked up Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare a couple of days ago. Very good game. Very good game indeed. I was kinda disappointed with the single player though.. way too short :( But other than that it was great (I played on Hardened). The multiplayer is also very fun. I highly suggest you get this game now and play it :D You'll be glad you did.

Another great game? Of-course. Darwinia. If you have never heard of this game: Shame on you. If you have never played this game: Shame on you. If you think the graphics are 'teh gheys': go burn in hell. This game is wonderful. It's glorious. It's one of the best RTS games I have ever played. Controlling massive armies of little green pixels is such a wonderful feeling :3 Another game I highly suggest you get. And after you're done with teh main campaign, go download some more! People make tens of hundreds of campaigns to play! You can make some too with the map editor and stuff. Lots of fun to be had!

And last but not least (I'm sure other people think otherwise), MapleStory. I can't believe it myself, but I like it It's a simple game really, just like any other MMORPG, but I like it. I don't know why. I don't really care that it's free (it's a nice thing though) but it's just fun. At least if you have nothing better to do which I usually don't (lol). Anybody else play here? I'm sure somebody does :p I wont' tell you my name though, but I'm on Kradia. If you really are interested in meeting me in-game, then PM me or something.

I'm so damn happy now. I made a flash for the first Madness Day ever! And all in under 12 hours.. 11 hours of pain though... Miserable. But worth it! At this point I really don't care if I get a bad score (well I do) I'm just happy I finished. I still hope it does well though :p

Lately I've been rather down in the dumps (haha)

I've had no inspiration to make any movies/games. I'm out of motivation to continue the games I've started (and are almost done).

To me money (from sponsorship) is, to me, not a motivator. I could care less about making money. The only reason I'd get sponsorship is to just make some quick cash and go spend it on something I can only buy online. Which isn't much.

So really the only reason I make games/movies is just because I got a good idea and I said "Hey this should be fun to make right?" Well usually it is. But alas, lately it isn't. I just can't stand and animate for more than 10 minutes straight. I've lost all motivation to animate.

Of course this isn't the first time this has happened to me. I've gone through this many times and every single time I just .... blej ... don't wanna animate x(

Even as I make this post I have a game (Garry's Mod) open that I switch to every tiem I finish a sentence. I just can't seem to keep my attention on the freaking post.

Dammit. I was going to go and make
Garry's Mod a link. So I went to garrysmod.com to copy and paste the link. Then I end up searching around the news posts seeing what's new. And I went and found this little beauty. Further proof of my short attention span. (Should also prove to be a fun game mode :3)

More evidence: Lollipop. Many of you (well some) have seen my movie called Lollipop. Well, the movie was really for a little competition down here we call "Tech Fair". Of course I won first place. Everybody else had to use SwishMax to animate while I go to use Flash 8. Unlucky them :/ Also I'm just the best animator (to my knowledge) around here. Which is pretty sad.

It's also sad that almost nobody here has heard of Newgrounds :( Everybody here will point to YouTube before Newgrounds. I'm always telling them to go to Newgrounds though xP

So in conclusion this means 2 things:
One, I have a very short attention span. And 2, I have lost all inspiration to continue animating.

Of course, thank the gods, I will get back my inspiration. I always manage to do this. I guess I just get kinda mad when I loose the inspiration x|

It's also rather frustrating that I have this 'great' idea in my head. I think it would make a great movie. But I know myself. I'll begin the movie and just stop before I even reach teh middle because an even better idea will come! x|

Also kinda frustrating is that I'm not so sure I have the skill to pull it off. It looks awesome in my head but my animating skills are far from where they should be to accomplish this.

So by now I'm sure I've forgotten what I was ranting about at the top. I'll have a look then.

Ah, yes inspiration.

So another thing came into this silly ol' head o' mine. Empire (maybe). The sequel to Eldest (which was the sequel to Eragon). I like the books. Alot. I've read Eragon and Eldest 3 times (wow) And I rarely re-read books :/ The movie I haven't watched, nor do I have the will to do it. And I just don't want to.

I'm pretty sure I've told you much of what has happened (and is) to my head xD I just hope it'll be over soon so I can finish a flash :O

I guess one reason is that school is near (next week). But I know the real reason. But I'm not telling you >:( It's my reason. Go away. why did you read this? God you must be bored :/

As am I. Which is why I'm going back to Garry's Mod. Wohoo! ZOMBEH SURVIVAL!!!
